So, in my driving career (11 years, so far) I've owned 4 cars. I first inherited my mom's 1988 Ford Tempo, and while it sufficed at the time, I shall never drive a Ford again.
Then, I finally bought my first car. a 1980 Pontiac Parissienne. Great car! cost me almost nothing, and I drove it for 3 years. 270 000km on it when i got it, and 427 000km when it was towed to the scrap yard. I'd painted it black with a roller and household-exterior a year earlier. it looked MEAN! i LOVED that car.

After that, there was a mis-spent year with a 1986 Firebird. I've still got it, but the engine blew 3 weeks after i got the thing, and i've been working on swapping in a 305 ever since. Jiffer and Notmike have been so kind as to put up with the piece of crap being at their place, as I don't have a garage. |

Now, here's my current beast. 1988 Pontiac Parissienne Safari Wagon. biggest gawd-damn thing i've ever owned. it's a little loud (exhaust problems) but she runs, and gets me from A to B. she also carries 8 of my closest friends in comfort, so it's a good road-trip machine. With the seats down, i can get a queen size matress in, flat and useable ! (nudge, nudge, wink wink) | ![]() |
A problem has occured. It's a sway-bar link-pin but, it's non-life-threatening! whooo!. what it means is the car's off the road for a little while. crappy. good thing parts are cheap.
Looks like a bolt has sheared off, separating some of the suspension components.

After 5 years of talkin' about it, Skumm has FINALLY finished his project car, a 1973 Oldsmobile 442. you really, really need to see the pics of this thing, it's gorgeous.
